This is so frustrating.......I have followed the induction phase to the T and I am not dropping much weight at all. No sugar what so ever. Scanning labels, making sure there isn't the tiniest amount. My clothes seem to be fitting better, and I know I don't have much to lose, but give me a break!.
164.0 lb Lost so far: 3.0 lb.    Still to go: 9.0 lb.    Diet followed 100%.
losing 1.4 lb a week

If your clothes are fitting better, you are dropping inches. the scale don't always mean anything because of water retaining. the lbs will come off, but I would rather feel my clothes fitting better than seeing the numbers on the scale less. at one time I weighed 113 lbs and still wore a 10. another time I weighed 119 and wore a 6. so see it is not about the pounds, it's the inches.

^^ this! Only clothing and measurement numbers matter! Last year I was still considered overweight by the BMI chart, and was wearing a size 3-4.

Yea, you need to adjust your expectations. For small weight loss, a pound to you may be like 5 pounds for someone who has 50 pounds to lose and vice versa. Any loss is great and will take you to goal. I had a friend take 6 months to lose 10 pounds because she was so close to goal. Kick up your exercise to help. You are doing great.

been on keto for 6 weeks now, been under 20 carbs per day and still only loosing 1 lb. per week, first 3 weeks i was loosing about 1.6 lbs. per week. I do feel better tho, not so sluggish or tired. happy with all the fat and protein and not missing all the sugar and junk food.

If you are staying induction and still not losing, you may be consuming foods that are increasing your insulin during the day... dairy and some proteins will actually raise insulin and keep you from losing. Dr. Jason Fung talks about this on his website https://intensivedietarymanagement.com

Not saying to do this and I never give up, but I have been up and down for years. I am a pretty good pro about low carb dieting. But I had a time where I went for a long time not losing. I ate half a slice of apple pie. I felt so guilty, but the next morning I was down 5 lbs. I got right back on the intro phase and started losing again. some times you got to try some thing different.

Mix it up. When on low carb, sugar will cause digestive upset if consumed (aka back door trots:))

SheaDlady: You are sooooo right. OMGosh. Over the holidays, I decided I wasn't going to watch what I ate. Man oh man, did my tummy revolt. Sweet Georgia Peaches, I think this is why you lose after you've eaten something sweet. You tummy gets rid of everything in it. Not a good way tho. Ouchie!
