Bad storm last night, high winds, rain & electricity out... woke up to see our 20yr maple tree in the backyard had split in two, landing on our fence & neighbor's side of the house... not the best way to start your day ! Tree trimmer said the way tree split in 3 places, it's just weakened the rest of tree & any wind will take the rest down, so we'll just have the whole tree removed in next few days. Really sad loosing another tree we planted from a baby, and loosing lots of shade on the east of our house :(

Really, really sad & depressed over a tree :( Either going to take a nap or go for a walk ? Decided I needed a walk more than nap, walked 1.75miles in 32 minutes, sweat a lot, and talked to myself !

Notfast - Am so glad that tree didn't end up hurting someone. Funny you should mention trees. This spring we had a big cedar fall on our garage. That was a wake-up call. We just hired someone to take down our big tulip tree that was leaning toward our house. We may take down a few more as we can afford it. We are going to replace them with low growing ornamental trees.

Notfast - sorry to hear about the tree, but very glad that it didn't hit the house or hurt someone. It's always sad when you lose something you treasure. Sounds like there were some pretty bad storms in a lot of places yesterday. My youngest goes to school in Pittsburgh and they had a lot of rain quickly which resulted in flooding and some deaths from folks caught up in it. Amazing how the weather reminds us of our place in this world. I hope you are doing well otherwise. Have a good weekend and stay in touch.
