The phrase a watched pot never boils comes to mind. Maybe progress seems slower since you're tracking it. But if you're now actively aware of what you're doing and working hard at it, that is a good thing.

Stop stepping on the scale and forget about the number, as long as you don't cheat you will keep shedding pounds. Let your waist size be your scale.

Progress continues even if we don't see it on the scale. I think the early part of the weight loss process teases us because in the beginning many of us lose fairly quickly, but as you come close to your goal and an optimal weight the scale seems to be resistant. This is when focus, dedication and celebrating changes in strength, stamina, the fit of clothes and the loss of even a quarter inch comes in. Keep on task as you come close to the finish line. You are worth it.

If you have started exercising, it could very well be that you're gaining muscle mass. Measurements, photos, and the way your clothes fit are much better indicators once you have lost initial water weight. Keep on keeping on! You're doing great!
