HAPPY HUMP DAY Ya'll. Today I'm off and DH has dr appt.... what I call his 1st real appt in 10 yrs. He's only been sick a handful of times with colds and never needed to go but now we both turned 40-ish, I'm compelled to keep up with our annual check ups and start really taking care of ourselves. I would never ever miss an appt or check up for my children,so why do I/we think its ok for me/us to neglect ourselves. I know a lot of people who do this and I just think that now I'm really getting to a happy healthy place, I need to make sure we are really happy and healthy bahahaha. Sooo my dr visits are all done, now we got his then its dentist for both of us.We have great insurance that we never use.. time to put it to work. On a side note, I'm taking a leap with some new and old fruits and favorites. Cottage cheese and yogurt are back in as are beans and melon AND I bought some fresh pineapple and had a sliver with my breakfast.. and it was great.. I just need to remember to take it one day at a time diet wise and resist the urge to sop up everything I eat in bean juice.. bahahaha!! Today I meet with the trainer dude to discuss my new amped up plan for the next 3 months. While everyone I know is getting ready to make excuses about the holidays coming up and blah blah blah, Im getting ready to sink in my heels and step it up a notch at the gym. Hows that for pumpkin spice !!

That is great for Pumpkin Spice Red :) yes that is the key to the upcoming holiday season work hard and don't over enjoy. Glad you are taking care of yourselves by going to the doctor, but sometime people who don't go to the doctor a lot suddenly go and the doc tells them they have tons of stuff wrong, lol

I add pumpkin spice to my coffee on winter mornings to give it a little extra snap. No calories and it smells so good.

My world seems inundated with pumpkin spice everything, but I like your version. I applaud your meeting the trainer to keep your program challenging. I have been doing the same thing recently, getting into the free weights section of the gym more and more--although I think the weights are heavier over there! :). I too have been looking ahead to the holidays and I don't want to give up any of my hard earned progress to cookies and feasting! We can do it!
