Paketbote's Journal, 01 October 2015

We all have areas on our bodies where we store more fat. In my case that is my belly. I'm always judging how much fat I've lost by looking at my belly.

During training today, I wore a tank top and short pants and since I'm pretty vain (who isn't tho :D) I occasionally looked at myself in the mirrors on one side of the hall. My shoulders were looking great and I'm 100%sure that there were some lines I haven't seen there before. My thighs are not slimmer or skinnier but my huge muscles have become a little more defined. I felt really really good.

Don't focus on the bad things. That stubborn belly fat or muffin top, that takes ages to go away. Look at how far you've come already. Take lots of pictures and compare them side by side. in the same clothes, with the same lighting. We see ourselves everyday, so it's easy to think we're stuck, when we just aren't looking at the right places :)

Thanks for reminding us that it's easier to focus on what we still want to 'fix' vs. what we've already improved . . . have a great weekend!

It's part of the gym culture. It's normal. They're there to be sure your form is okay, not that most people use them that way. It reminds me of John Lithgow in 3rd Rock From the Sun. "I'm gorgeous!" Still makes me smile. Paketboke, I've noticed the same thing. (No, I don't work out in your gym.) After this bulk my legs look better than they did at the beginning of the bulk. Seeing separation of mucles. It's pretty exciting. To me, it's a real accomplishment. Up until 2 years ago I was heavy once I got out of my mid 20s.
