Breakfast has always been an "issue" for me. I've just never been one who woke up and has been hungry. This just got worse when certain meds that I take cannot be taken with food - and I have two sets of those. Basically, if i take the pills right when I get up there's an hour delay of when I can eat.

Of course everyone tells you that you have to eat breakfast to rev up your metabolism. My WW leader was sooo adamant that I had to eat right away. After much research, consultation with my doctors, I've learned different. As long as you eat within 3 hours of waking, you'll get the same benefits of revving up your metabolism. So, if you're not a good "breakfast person" either ... it's okay to wait a while! Now breakfast isn't a stress out affair and I can actually enjoy it!

So along with this, I thought I'd share what I had - and maybe help others who are stuck in a breakfast rut ... or just don't know what to eat in the mornings!

This morning I had

1 Serving of Lower Sugar Maple and Brown Sugar Instant Oatmeal (2 pts)
5 Grams of chopped walnut (1 pt)
1 container of FF Chobani Greek Yogurt, Vanilla flavored (2 pts)
3 oz of raspberries (zero points due to all the fiber, but 44 calories)

This was really filling it had 8.8 grams of fiber & 5 pts .. so a pretty good way to start the day!

I usually eat 1 serving of Cottage Cheese w/sugar free Blackberry Jam (the Jam makes it yummy)OR 1 serving of Fiber One Honey Nut Clusters Cereal w/8 oz. Fat Free Skim Milk and 1 serving of Craisens OR a Fiber One Cereal Bar w/an 8 oz. glass of Fat Free Skim Milk. But today all I had was the Fiber One Cereal Bar. I have always heard that eating Breakfast was very important and I didn't always eat it because I just wasn't hungery. However, NOW I make sure to always eat a good breakfast.

Hi Babbette! - Just wondering, are you doing LCHF and Weight Watchers at the same time? It seems like it would be hard to combine the two (I have done both) when for instance, your raspberries are zero points, however they definitely count for a great amount of your carbs if your trying to stay under 20g per day like I am... Congrats for "losing" this week BTW (:
