So last night, my son spilled his drink on the living room tile and didn't get it all cleaned up. Apparently. Because I was going to the kitchen in the semi-darkness and slid on the wet tile, landed on my knee (lots of cursing), hit my back on the arm of the sofa on the way down, pulled a big easy chair over onto myself, BROKE MY GLASSES.
All that in itself is quite a visual.
Then I go to WalMart this morning to try to get my glasses fixed... driving without glasses. They inform me that they no longer have vision centers because Oklahoma is the only state that doesn't allow them. WTF? So I stop at QuikTrip to get some tea and I decide to get two (one for later). As I pick them up to take them to the area where you put the lids on, I drop BOTH of them. Tea.is.everywhere. EVERYwhere. "SHIIIIIIT!" I screamed. out loud. in QT.
And I can't do anything I'd planned to do because I can't see. Liquids have not been my friend the past 12 hours.

can't you get a pair of cheap ones until you can get yours fixed. I have a pair from the dollar tree for using the computer and reading. The good pair is in my purse for when I am out. I am sure something in a drug store area like walgreens may have something.

They're trifocals. If I don't wear glasses today, I'll get a headache. If I try just readers, I'll get a headache. I'll be at the optometrist when they open in the morning.

Sorry your days been shi.. When I have those days I try to put everything on hold and avoid doing things that can hurt me. When I fell (tripped over cat) and broke my glasses it cut my face right on the cheek bone and required stitches so it could have been worse. Hang in there.

Yikes. I hope your day improves & that you get new glasses ASAP. On side note, thanks for the chuckle with your awesome picture painting word skills. (Please don't throw anything at me.)
Have you ever tried Zennia optical online? They are pretty affordable (although I don't how affordable with trifocals) & could be a great way for you to get a back pair to always have on hand.

I would relax and stay away from those evil liquids today. Good luck getting a quick fix for your glasses. I try to always keep an old pair around as I am pretty much helpless without my glasses. I did just switch to progressives with my last prescription, so I understand about the headaches that come from wearing the wrong glasses.
