I went to the gym this morning for the first time and bicycled for 30 minutes at a 15mph rate, used the stepper for 10 minutes and finally, used the treadmill for 20 minutes walking briskly (4mph). I didn't break any record but felt happy I exercised and sweated for a solid one hour. I didn't go to the swimming pool as I thought (rightly) that I would be too knackered by the aerobic exercises to go and swim. It will be for next time. Best of all, I was also the only person in the room! :D My neighbour had already told me that when he goes, he is also the only person in the room. His wife told me there is a big, not olympic but BIG, swimming pool in Rye near the station, which is hardly ever used... I would have to go all the way to Rye by train or car to use it, which is a bit of a bummer when I have a small swimming pool near where I live and where I can walk to.
