Today is the first weekend of another lifestyle change. Over the past month I've been planning a workout routine with a friend and last week we met up with a personal trainer to help us get on track. The workout is called Stronglifts and information can be found here: http://stronglifts.com/5x5/ - - - Basically, its a total of 5 compound exercises that work every muscle group in the body. Sounds easy enough, right?? Wrong!!! These movements are very complex and it takes tons of hard work and dedication to get them down. Our trainer states that the move is only "mastered" after 10k reps.. Wowza!! So anyways to get started we called a ton of gyms to see who had the necessary equiptment and decided that Club Fitness would satisfy our needs and as a bounus its only 10 dollars per month!! Wahoo!!
My diet is staying pretty much on track - - Whole Foods, No Processed Food(exception food bars -- ie., Cliff, Luna, etc..), Less Wheat, High Fiber, High Protein, Smaller Portions, More Healty Snacks, etc..
Sample Day: Morning - - 40oz to 60oz H20, Banana, 2 Hard Boiled Eggs, Handful of Bobs Red Mill Organic Granola Morning Snack - - Handful of Carrot; and Peach, Pear, Apricot, Strawberry, Blueberry or whatever exciting fruit is in season Lunch - - Food Bar, Apple, Broccoli and Hummus, Rasins Dinner - - Chicken Breast or Salmon, Assorted Vegetable Late Snack - - Handful of Almond, Pistachio, or Cashew
When we met with our trainer (Carl) he took our measurements and since its only on paper I figure this would be a good place to document:
Height: 69" Weight: 166 lbs Shoulders: 43.5" Chest: 35.5" Waist: 34.25" Hips: 38" Thigh: 23.25" Arm:12" Body Fat %: 15.9 Body Mass Index: 24.9
All in all, I feel pretty good about everything I'm doing and I'm on path for success!! The future is bright and the combination of persistance and patience will allow me to reach my goal!!
