199.4 lbs, going in the wrong direction the past couple weeks. Got to stop eating crap, can list the excuses but ultimately I control what goes in my mouth. If it weren't for increasing workout intensity weight would be higher. Goal for this week is get the scale moving back down. Have a great weekend.

Jim, it just maybe fluid weight from muscles recovering. Don't bet yourself up over it. Mine goes up and down 2 pounds either direction all the time.

I hear you! It is so hard to keep that scale moving down, especially as close to your goal as you have gotten. You can do it! Think of the progress you will make with your intense workouts AND good eating! :)

The food is 90% of the deal, isn't it? I can do well at exercise and still see little change if I do not eat well, too. And, WFN is right about muscles holding extra fluid when in the repair mode after heavy exercise days.

Good luck, and well done for recovering your motivation regarding food.

Yes, as CatHerder says, we what we eat. That said, enjoy the weekend!

It'd be nice if it was muscles retaining fluid but the truth is, it's poor eating choices. What's interesting is that even though I've been in a calorie deficit most days I'm putting on weight, I can feel it and see it. Maybe for some people a calorie is a calorie but not for me, an excess of sugar/simple carbs combined with extra fat that goes along with cake/brownies/etc does me in. Once I start eating it watch out, hard to stop that train, and even with an overall calorie deficit I'll put on weight. The thing is, it's poison to my body and I know it, that's how I ended up with heart disease in the first place. So dumb to revert back to old ways. The GOOD news is that unlike the past I'm not staying in that place, moving forward instead. To my knowledge we're done with birthday/retirement/start of the year celebrations at work for the near future, that's where my temptations come from at this point. Thanks for the support everyone. Nicholaix, thanks for the fitbit challenges, they help to keep me motivated. :)

Hey guys, I have been having the same issues--too much of the wrong foods these past several days. I have been exercising when I can, but I have not regained the motivation I had prior to my routine being upended by life's little surprises. All of us know how to do this better than we have been. We have been working too hard to lose focus now. We need to pull ourselves together and get back in the game! I feel some meal planning coming on...

It's very likely that you are putting on some muscle as well as some other stuff. I'm in the same boat with you guys. I'm getting my steps in now but I have periods when I don't eat as well as I should and don't move as much as enough either. I know I have made some progress. I try to remember when I could not do nearly as much. Weight loss was a goal but has turned into a bonus and I haven't even reached my goal yet. Don't think about getting discouraged. You have come a long way...
