I have 30,000 steps to do today and tomorrow to reach 70,000 for the week -- I'm behind again. I haven't made it for several weeks. I have done my suspension workouts though. Hope to get back to the gym in September and start working on free weights.

I have to spend the weekend catching up. It was nice having more food prepped again and made for some extra time in the evening. Will work on that tomorrow for the week ahead. I did get exercise in except yesterday as it was 8:30 by the time I arrived home from going to Ikea straight from work. I love that store but it takes so long to get through it and locate what you need. At least lots of steps LOL!

Tis a rainy day so will spend it continuing working on my house after some normal chores, plans for getting those done during the week were interrupted by others. Tis OK, that's life. I'm excited about getting some new window treatments up and hopefully more items to help organize my kitchen as well as a new little fold down table installed for the "eat in" part of my kitchen. My plans are to be out of town next weekend so I hope to get things done this week. Best get moving on my day.

Steps are okay....I have made them up for you. Everything I need are plenty of steps from Bruce's room. We also have been going outside every evening to catch the sunset and to take a stroll around the grounds....he in the wheelchair and me pushing! Think he enjoys his stroll a bit more than I do:)

Good for you Gwen! so happy Bruce is on the mend. Glen and Kathy there is only so much you can fit in a day, I know I simply run out of time. Having to work puts a crimp in other things LOL. Can't pay the bills without a job---soooo. YAY the dusty blinds and slightly broken blinds are in the trash!! Much better for my allergies. I did like the sunshine patterns in the morning, nothing else. They came with the house. Now to get the mounting fixtures off and wash the windows, then install new roller blinds, less dust and crookedness.

Leigh, trying to wrangle energy, gray days sap it. The dang mountings for the blinds are finally down more work and fighting with the odd screws than I bargained for. They are gone that is what counts. Lots of arm exercise LOL.. Now for everyone's favorite job, washing windows, more arm exercise.

I'm low on steps this week due to weather. Hoping to get in 5 miles tomorrow. Arm exercises, lol! Realised today that I need to do wrist exercises as well. Will help with cycling as I get pain in wrists and hands when I cycle, and also, I have a couple of friends my age who have fallen and broken wrists, and I don't want to do that!

P.S. There are shortcuts through IKEA if you look out for them. There is also a map at the start, so you can see where they are and miss out bits you don't want to visit. Saves a lot of time!

The suspension trainer yields more muscle for you.

Heidi, strengthening your wrists would be a good thing with a bike. We are close in age so yes any joint or bone strength is good. I forget the shortcuts between visits LOL. So end up running around everywhere trying to find them... I get the ball games Kathryn, my grandkids fall ones have started and will get busier after Labor day. All worth going to, fun and supporting the kids. Add in fall cross country here as one GD loves long distance running. It never seems to stop. With 8 of them and 6 in sports life is busy. HCB can't believe the difference using it almost everyday since mid July.

As usual much more time spent than planned. I finally have the shades mounted in my living room, dining room and kitchen. I still have my bedroom to do. The drapes are longer than I thought compared to my ceiling so trying to figure how to hang them and if I should mount them clear to the ceiling or the top of the windows. It won't be difficult to shorten them as they only come in one length and I have all the tools in the basement. Any décor experts with some help?
