I am 69 years old and have been drinking since my teens - about 2 Manhattans per day and double that on Fri, Sat, and Sun! On July 26 in conjunction with my new lifestyle, I just quit. I was only getting a little buzz anyway, not drinking to get falling down drunk. I discovered that other than the ritual (golf, with a cigar, etc.) I have not missed it. Saves one hell of a lot of caloric intake and makes weight loss much easier. When I was drinking, I also tended to eat more. You might give it a try. I now drink lots of Virgin Marys and diet tonic and limes!
