I can vouch for that. I hit a plateau and my doctor told me it's because I am not eating enough, so when I exercise, my body stores the fat as a defense mechanism. It's very similar to ultra distance runners - after about 35km - the body stops burning fat and starts using muscle as an energy source.... I run and gym 5 to 6 times a week and since I have taken in more calories, although the right ones, I feel stronger on my long runs and the gym "lag" is gone. I was down to 1200 to 1500 calories a day in an attempt to shed the last kilo's - didn't work so I totally agree with you...#Awesome
