You are amazing! Now I have a question...what the heck is a stone? How many stones do I weigh? It's 1 am here in Arizona so I'm doing as much of a happy dance with you as I can! Congrats...you're doing fabulous!

A stone is 14 pounds, so you are just under nine and a half stones 😀 That would be about my ideal weight, but I won't get there for a few months yet! What are you doing up at 1am? Didn't get to bed yet? Couldn't sleep? Hope you're okay!

You're changing colors faster than the 'horses of a different color' in the Wizard of Oz! ;) AND . . . nearly halfway to your goal!! That is fantastic!! When people ask how much weight I've lost (usually just family), I'm going to answer in 'stones' from now on!

That'll confuse them, Leigh Ellen! And thanks, Glen ☺

No worries Heidi, I was talking on the phone with a friend and just stayed up to late. I'm perfectly fine...thanks for being concerned though.

Way to go, Heidi. Where do you change colors at? How do I know what color I am?

Look at your weight history, Karen. You start off with a red bar to show progress, when you get a quarter of the way to your goal weight, progress bar changes to orange, then at about half way, it changes to yellow, then green, and blue when you reach goal.

Hey well done Heidi, keep up the good work :)

I just wish I could enter my weight properly :) Stones and pounds. Mind you when you see a large stone count, you do go argh. Pounds have less meaning to me, its just a number I like to see go down. :) A friend is on statins, and he goes back regularly for checks. I was wondering if your statin intake is coming down now you are exercising and loosing weight ? As always, keep up the good work, you are doing great. :)

Fabulous. Well done, especially for the satisfaction of seeing the colour change :)

Thanks, Lynne 😀 Mindfull, I'm on a low dose of statins anyway, but I think I will get the cholesterol checked again in a few weeks, probably when I get back to Spain. It would be great to be able to stop taking them! Actually it's good to think in pounds too, as it's nice when you drop into a lower 'decade'. I was very pleased to hit the 160s, and now can feel happy AGAIN about being under 12 stones. I could do kilograms as well I guess, as I hope to be soon below 75 😀

Heidi, I am so happy for you! I really admire your steadfast approach to exercise and weight loss. Doing a happy dance for you as well. I also think about my weight in stones and pounds - I always have to think when weighing in on FS!

Thanks, Claire! I have to say, I have been dithering around for many, many years, thinking I'd like to lose weight, while letting it slowly creep up. It just got to a 'tipping point' for me recently, when I found my belly was getting so big. It's part of the aging process after menopause, I know. Your body shape changes. I just thought, I don't want this belly, and started getting serious about losing, at last. Finding this site has been a huge help, both with the tools available, and for the support, of course. It's also spurred me on that I knew I stood a better chance of succeeding in the summer, so I really wanted to see some results by end of September. In October we will be going back to Spain for the winter, and it's going to be a lot harder to stick to a plan then, but I think the habits I've set up will continue. I will certainly know if I start backsliding. My original plan was, lose some this summer, stay static over the winter, lose some more next summer. But I think now, that I need to carry on trying to lose over the winter, while I have the momentum going. I think I'd also like to say that, while I keep trying to be optimistic and positive, I quite often feel frustrated at how slowly it is going. I'm not really a very patient person. I want results, now! Hence the need to celebrate every little milestone. I would like to be losing a bit quicker, anyway. But I try to accept that I'll just have to keep plodding on, like the proverbial tortoise, and will get there in the end. And it is sort of comforting in a perverse kind of way, to think that there is no end to this, and when I do finally get there, it will only be a bend in the road - there will still be the ongoing need to work at keeping it off, for the rest of my life. I'll have to have a 'before' picture to look at, I think, to remind myself of what I don't want to return to! Anyway, there is no going back, I need to be that slimmer, fitter person, and as they say, nobody else can do it for me, so onwards and upwards, or downwards if you prefer 😉

Done a happy dance myself for you... although I have to admit I'm absolutely shattered now lol!!! Well done you, Karen

Thanks, Karen! Looks like I had a bit of a rant there. Been a day for ranting, actually. I think I'm going to blame the weather 😏
