I managed to get out of bed early to get a workout in this morning. I really wanted to sleep in, but it was only about 45 mins earlier and when I went in to add my exercise it felt great that I already got 30 mins done. Hopefully I'll be able to get up early the rest of the week since I've made it a goal. I used to do morning workouts and loved it, but once I got out of the habit it's been really hard to get back to it.

Yesterday I ended going for a walk for a little over 3 miles. I made myself go out and then it was so nice I decided I wanted to walk for about an hour, and that was over 3 miles.

My eating yesterday wasn't terrible, but could have been better. Today shouldn't be too bad, except for dinner. I don't know for sure what we're having because we have both the kids school open houses tonight. We'll be eating when we get home, so it could be leftovers or just something quick because I'm sure we'll all be starving by then.

Tomorrow is my son's first day of school and Thursday is my daughter's. I can't believe the summer is over! Time has just flown by, but I think time goes faster every year as my kids get older. Now, it's back to car pools, practices, games, and other activities throughout the year. It's going to be a bittersweet year as my son is in 5th grade and my daughter is in 8th and we'll be leaving elementary school completely behind after this year. I'm probably going to have a break down before school starts next year. How did my kids get so old already?

I hope everyone has a great Tuesday!!

Way to go on the AM workout -- just a few more iterations and it will become habit again sooner than you think . . . would it help to make it a recurring (how every many days/week) 'appointment' on a calendar (set with reminders, etc.)? I find I tend to get things done that I've put off when they are made part of some kind of 'official' list (calendar, to-do, etc.).

Wow, great job on the early workout!! It takes a lot of determination and willpower to wake up early for exercise. If you did it before, though, you know you can do it again. I'm looking forward to the kids going back to school as getting them up and out the door early made it easier to get myself out the door earlier for a workout too. I was already up anyway :) Keep up the great work!! I feel your pain on the kids growing up, it all goes entirely too fast.
