Thank you to the people who sent notes of support after last week's rant. I needed a short pity party to get me back on track, and I think I'm okay now. I'm back home in Northern Ontario (only for 3 weeks, though) and, although my carb loving husband is with me, I am managing to keep things on the down low. I weighed in on my own scale and was happy to find that, contrary to what I had thought, it weighs me less than the one I was using down south. Phew! So I shall use the next three weeks to quit diet soda and other sweeteners, and I will spend my day eating less and moving more. I hope to lose maybe three pounds (or more) by August 25th.
199.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 49.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
