July 3rd I overate, but did get in a good run on the elliptical that morning. Came home to feed the dog from party and snacked a little, thinking hubby was bringing home supper. Noticed that something did not feel right in my mouth...that's right ladies and gents, home slice cracked a tooth. The cracked tooth has two "horns" or "fangs" -- either way they are split and sharp. I've been wearing my mouth guard since -- seems to keep my tongue in line and not constantly going over to the tooth.

Great news -- pretty much on a liquid diet, so I really don't see any weight gain occurring. All yesterday, liquid meals -- with the exception of a cupcake with icing, and angel food cake, and 2 chip bags. Frankly just wanted to have more than just shakes and was desparate.

Today, I'm out of fat free plain yogurt, which makes a stouter shake -- and on to no sugar added instant carnation breakfast drink. This morning pureed a fresh peach. This afternoon we had some protein drink still available - chocolate + no sugar added carnation instant breakfast drink - rich milk chocolate + banana + pb2 = a good version of Reese's PB cup. And some watermelon with Himalayan salt.

Looking forward in one aspect (I should be able to eat normally) to seeing the dentist tomorrow. On the other hand, I expect it will be expensive and don't look forward to the bill. Been trying to save up money in my HSA before paying some medical related bills off....and obviously, that wasn't God's plan for me.

Weird note: Since we've kind of gone up and down on the adoption side with a very small chance of adopting an older child, to interacting with our own nieces and nephew, I've been in a reserve, where I'm finding myself protecting my heart yet again.

I am spiritually hungry -- I get nothing from our pastor's messages when I am able to go. I'm hoping to find a Wednesday night service with a church nearby that might be able to quench this hunger. I really don't like feeling this way. It's the current pastor at our home church....and found out they will be there longer. Sigh. Just don't make a connection with them. Which makes it challenging to interact and be supportive, when they are not meeting my spiritual needs. Not complaining -- just stating an observation. I'd rather drive 2.5 hrs to attend a church that inspires me than drive 20 minutes to my own church family. Basically it boils down to this: disconnection. Need to find a retreat or something to spiritually reconnect myself and not get caught up in the nit-picky two faced attitudes...makes it hard to not be judgemental. Thanks for letting me vent. No resolution expected -- and for those who are here to give advice for food and nutrition and exercise -- I expect nothing from you. :)

OOH , I hope you feel better.. and in regards to the adoption idea... there are so many older children out there that need people like you to open their doors and hearts... I think its a great idea if you are up for it...
