June was not only busy, but a terrible time for trying to lose weight.

The first weekend, we had a wedding in New Orleans to participate in. Didn't do too badly there, between all the walking about and being conscious of alcohol and food consumption.

The following week I'd been called for Jury Duty, so lots of sitting about.

After that, friends of mine from high school came to visit from out of town for a week (well, two of them were here the full week, another two stayed four days and the final two were only here a single day). This was probably the biggest nail in the coffin. Walking was my only real source of exercise, and because they were from out of town we did a lot of eating out and drinking.

Because of all this I made the poor decision to not weigh in for over a month. I have to stop that (because it is something I tend to do, skipping weigh-ins when I know I've misbehaved).

With that in mind, I'm getting up, dusting myself off and trying again. Falling down doesn't make you a failure, but staying down does.
