I'm not surprised by a slight increase this week and actually glad that I managed to keep it from being worse. I had a couple of off days as far as the diet goes, including a "meet-up" with some people I hadn't met before that are involved in my profession. It was a social event and something both my husband and I could participate in.
We've become such recluses that I felt encouraged that he wanted to go and we did have a good time. Unfortunately, the social part of it meant meeting at one of those trendy breweries to sample local craft beers. I had three watermelon beers which was definitely one too many since I did not sleep well that night. And the place had NO food so next time we'll go prepared.
At any rate that, and meeting a dear friend I hadn't seen for years for lunch yesterday and then going out to dinner did not help the diet. At least I stayed away from the fried stuff and stopped eating when I was not hungry. Saved me from a drastic increase. It's a new week and I am determined to get those numbers dropping again.
