My fondest wish is to not gain any weight this time around while my foot is messed up. Tough when I am living on PB sandwiches and beans/cole slaw the kids make lol. I have the bestest kids ever. Although it is probably weird that they know how to cook that stuff. Their friends think its awesome they can make bread and stuff though, the trick is to teach them young enough while its still 'cool' and not 'chores'. Have an awesome weekend all.

My younger child learned to cook as a teen, but showed zero interest as a small child. Now, she cooks for her adult sister.

My daughter likes to cook but she thinks my kitchen is like Chopped the FOOD Network show and like to therefore experiment. She thought since my favorite spice was cinnamon she should add it to every dish she has tried.... let me tell you a little bit goes a long way......... :O This was when she was a bit younger and she is learning better skills and choices now. Fast healing to you Nic.

My kids all learned to cook young also. They learned to do laundry young also, I couldn't get down our narrow with crutches for almost a year. Dad wasn't allowed to do laundry after he tried to be nice and wash most of my wool sweaters in hot water that were in a basket to get dry cleaned. They ended up about a size 2 toddler...

No sense in children growing up and not being able to fend for themselves.
