HCB's Journal, 03 June 2015

Greetings Buddies:

Rolling along in the week pretty well. I like to download books to my iPod and listen at night. This week I am listening to "Secrets to a Healthy Metabolism" by Maria Emmerich. Do any of you read her, too? GOOGLE and check her out!

She supports the ketogenic food plan, intermittent fasting, having an all protein day, and going grain free. It is interesting to me because since I have adapted such ideas in my plan, I have seen loss and had more energy.

It is all about chemistry and low carb (sugar) for me!

Words of the Week:
"You have a choice. You can throw in the towel, or you can use it to wipe the sweat off of your face."

I am dedicated, determined and diligent.

I say I'm not on a particular diet - just moderation, but the fact of the matter is you really can't live a low cal diet without cutting back on carbs, so none of us are really all that different. It's still about calories and burning fuel.

well I do know that I can have way over my allotment on calories and still be under 10 carbs for a day. I do not exercise a lot, but I'm losing inches nevertheless. Protein seems to have a ton of calories as well as fat bombs. But true, I haven't had a wheat item in over a month, and since I started this I have more energy than I've had in years! LCHF is working wonders!

I'm with ya - low carbs, no wheat and high protein seem to be the best for me as well. One month I did no alcohol, no refined sugar and no wheat - felt like a million bucks and slept like a baby too.
