I lost 2 pounds in the last week and just been 2 busy to track all my food intake. Saw the VA doctor yesterday and I am off all my medications except for the vitamin supplements. She suggested that I add more salt to my diet because my blood pressure is still low. One of my primary goals to get healthy enough to where I could live medication free. I really think I owe most of my success to walking for 90 minutes a day and cutting out the diet soda/artificial sweeteners, and sugar. The dietician told me to restrict my salt intake because it can make you more hungry but I thought it was impossible to eat salt free. It seems everything has some sodium in it.
235.0 lb Lost so far: 94.0 lb.    Still to go: 55.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Great work! I am so glad to year you are off all the meds. I am confused how you can add more salt and restrict your salt. Perhaps your doctor and dietician need to hear each other. :)

When I first started the weight loss program last October, I cut out salt or salty foods at the request of the dietician. She said in many cases your body is thirsty but makes you more hungry. But in my recent visit to the Doctor, she thinks that I need more salt because of the heat and sweating while walking. I threw all my salt away months ago. But I think I will start adding it to my morning eggs.

Ahh, I see. I can certainly relate to thirst making you feel hungry. I have gotten into the habit of keeping my water bottle always at my side. Sometimes I find if I take a drink and wait a few minutes, I am no longer thinking about eating.

GREAT Job!!! as always....If I can work up to even walking an hour per day I KNOW it would be a GREAT help to me!!! Yes, interestingly enough, my BP has been running a bit low last couple of doctor visits..AND you know what CRAZY thing is???? I actually felt BETTER when it was BORDERLINE high!!! Sometimes take our bodies a little while to catch up to where we are trying TO GO, esp. in direction of BETTER HEALTH...Keep on Keeping on, Buddy...YOU bless ALL of us with every journal post!!!!!!! Thanks so much for sharing!!!!!
