Up a pound - and I know why. Last night someone bought me a milkshake (without asking). I took a sip to be polite and ended up finishing it. And the sad thing is that it was really horrible.

But today is another day.

I hate people who 'lovingly' sabotage you.....but, I have to admit I sabotaged myself last night and am paying the price. Today is another day.....let's make it a good one.

Frustrating I'm sure but just remember that pound is not a pound of fat. Purely water due to the extra carbs. Drink plenty of water the next couple days and WOOSH there it goes! Have a great weekend.

It is just the way it goes sometimes....trying to be polite often leads us in the wrong direction. I can relate.... It will be gone sooner than you think.

Take a look at that basket of water bottles and you'll be straight back on track. I totally forgot to weigh in this morning and will possibly be up a bit tomorrow morning too but plan on lots of walking to wear it off.

Oh Buffy, it happens. I've finally gotten to where I do not feel guilty about not eating /drinking something that does not taste really really good. I'm good about most things, one bite/sip that's all. I'm bad about beer or wine. Sometimes it bites you in the butt like down at the lake not long ago I drank too much moonshine, it tasted amazing!!!

"To be polite" know the feeling, getting better at saying "no thank you, am allergic to sugar", pretty much the truth.

The person that used to ride to work with me used to bring me McDonald's sausage biscuits now and then. I would politely accept even though I had told her many times that I avoided fast food due to all the MSG including that sausage, as I know it's loaded. I finally stopped being as polite as I was throwing them away, and told her thank you I appreciate the thought, I simply cannot eat them due to my asthma and give it to someone at work who could eat it. If I do a fast food breakfast it's a muffin with egg and cheese, maybe twice a year.

I hear that. A year ago I 'treated' myself to a double quarter pounder with cheese (my favourite) fries and a coke and it was about the least satisfying thing I'd eating in over a year. I took it back to my hotel room and kept forgetting I had the thing. It took over an hour to eat it. Why did I finish it? Got me.
