Saturday dawns with rain in the area, none here yet, we may have had some overnight. Hope if anyone reads this you have nice weather for the weekend.

Exercise will be cleaning the remaining stuff out of my attic that needs to be sanitized form the raccoon's moving in and sanitizing it. Packing the stuff that goes to my youngest that she has stored here into my car and hauling all the stuff that needs to be in my attic, like the containers of Christmas decorations that are residing in my spare bedroom. Figure steps, weight lifting, and stair climbing. LOL May not get it all done, but it's progress.

First I need to clean out the big pile of stuff out of my sink mostly a hodge-podge of containers, from not being able to use the water yesterday and continuing on my pantry organization. I want to get the light fixture installed above my sink and it means standing in the sink to do so.

It will be nice to regain my room and the closet. It will also allow me to get my bike out that is sandwiched behind all those Christmas boxes.

I don't have enough room in my full door spice rack for everything, hunting on the web this am for ideas. I think I found a good solution at Ikea, so added to my list.

Best get moving.

WOW - I really envy your organizing right now - I am much too lazy about the house stuff. I tend to use my energy elsewhere although the house needs attention...hmmm...avoidant? LOL

Me also, really good at putting things off. Part of feeling good about me is getting my little house the way I want it to be. I hate clutter and my 2nd DH turned into a hoarder with his many psych issues he developed--it made me OCDC about clutter. It's been driving me nuts with the mess from the coons in the attic, stuff stored here by others, and also my kitchen being a mess for so long with running into roadblocks on my "quick????" redo. I bought my house 6 years ago and still not where I want it to be, plans change along the way. some things done. Looks like the rain will be later in the day so a good time to start hauling stuff to the driveway to wash and hopefully get dry.

LindaLee, I understand, I have boxes and boxes of photos to go through. Figure out what to keep as many were my parent's from things they did and have no idea who those people are!! I still don't have any photos or anything on my walls as I didn't want to add holes until I painted.

LindaLee, I also have a wireless printer that doesn't like me upgrading my wireless service. Have to get on the phone with tech support again. My little hallway and spare bedroom is also designated for photos, I'm not big on having them in my living room. My house re-do is progressive, I have to get one room done to be able to move things to get to the next. I also have ulterior motives!!! I need my 3 boys to come help me soon. I thought they were done with school before last week, they weren't; last day of school was Friday. Being 13 an begging to come help gramma, I want to put them to work--it will be fun as we enjoy working on things. I need some muscles and extra hands. I have a shed that was destroyed in a wind storm last year and need to order a replacement kit. Looks hard to build with one person, I also need to put some light fixtures in that look like you have to have 6 hands!!! They all love building things!! We will play a bit also. They are at an age they are very proud that they can do "adult" things". Willing to work for gramma though more than Mom and Dad LOL!!!

Break time. YAY!! most things cleaned except for some scrap lumber and couple suit cases. I have more dang suit cases!! Hey, I'm ready to go traveling!! Attic is almost ready to be re-filled with Christmas. I can do that no matter if it rains or not. Thankful some stools I had stored upstairs weren't damaged by the coons. My trash can is full of stuff damaged beyond hope. Also the box with all the newspapers from both the 1st landing on the moon and the 1993 floods; 1993--those are for my girls since it impacted their lives. Need to go back to work.

I just crashed! It's a bit after 4:00 not doing much else except make an easy dinner. Wishing the Mexican shop with awesome tamales was closer. Nothing is hauled back to the attic, but it is mostly cleaned out. The spare room is still full but all tops are scrubbed as is Tracy's crib and numerous other things. So will be ready to haul up there tomorrow. I think I have room in the attic for the Christmas stuff but may have to add some boards to make more floor, we threw out a bunch of flooring as it was coon pee and poop soaked. A leaf blower works well to move blown in insulation but it flies everywhere!! Much accomplished, as usual more to do than actually done. Car is not loaded as I need to get a lot out of the spare room. There is always tomorrow.

Thanks HCB-- I feel good about progress, just ran out of energy. Tonight is a "chopped" dinner as I have a 1/4 pound of ground pork to use and do not want to go to the store. Need to do that tomorrow or Monday and get some basics. My plan to make split pea soup and bread didn't happen--tomorrow?

Good day, but now tired, going to bed before dark. The rain has arrived as predicted, the thunder rolling and the power blinking. No warnings, so it's good. Good night to sleep, unless crazy pup gets hyper with the weather.

Dang--hit the weather radio button--rain everyday in the forecast thru next Sat. tis as far as it goes. We are under flash flood warnings again, I'm on a bluff so won't affect me much they are saying up to 5 inches of rain on the next day or so!!!

Laughing, the guys who did the work on my coon issue earlier in the year. They work full time for contractors and were doing mine on the side. Mine depended on when they were working over the winter and early spring. It worked for me because they are long time friends and I trusted them, so could just give them my keys.

Having your kitchen totally gone though is a big issue!!! I'd hate that and want a fairly firm end date.
