Its the weight lifting and adding in carbs and just plain too busy to pay enough attention. I really cant complain too much, I have lost quite a bit since I started. Its just taking so LONG!!!!

It was the same day as my son's birthday so I didn't walk at graduation. The kids did a silly celebration and made me walk down the driveway in a bedsheet waving like Princess Grace. My department head has recommended me for the cyber-security masters program at my school. Ach all I could think was here we go again....I don't think I will do it. I need to find a job.

It's not a race and while you're losing be grateful. You are SUCCEEDING :)

WOOT! Grats! You go girl! High maintenance boys, school and trying to lose weight is all a challenge. Sounds like a determined Mom taking are of herself and her family. Been there after my divorce I went back to school after 8 yrs as a stay at home mom. Juggling that, divorce and the diagnosis of my son and daughter within months of one another was a HUGE challenge. So, long as you are stepping up to those challenges you are doing great IMHO!

I feel for you. I know a couple weeks ago some not-very-bright neighbor commented to me "well it took you 5 years to put weight on, don't expect it to come off very fast". I replied "no, it actually took only 8 or 9 months to put the weight on, the remaining time of the 5 years was me trying to not put more weight on while being on the medication that causes weight gain. Your theory is invalid". She got pissed at me.

Nice complement from your department!!! Also every little bit adds up. I get it about taking so long. Also remember you are increasing your muscle weight and it weighs more than fat and takes up less space.

Way to go Nichol, see your kids are so proud of you just as you will be walking across the stage looking fit and gorgeous in your gown. You are an awesome woman.

You should at least check into the master's program. You could probably get a cushy student job.

Nice job with the loss. A loss is a loss is a loss....etc. Even little ones add up to bigger numbers overall.
