ShyGuy's Journal, 16 May 2015

This has been an unusual week, for me, full of ups and downs. I dislocated one of my shoulders, on Sunday, which will eventually lead to surgery, to keep it from happening over and over again. My eating has been up and down, from a low carb standpoint. Yesterday was totally low carb, though I didn't record anything. Today will be totally low carb, and I'll be playing catch-up with my food diary, though I'll be guessing with some of the amounts. As said before, one day at a time, one meal at a time, one pound, and one victory at a time. Have a great weekend everyone. :-)

Ahh injuries. Comes with being over 40 dude. I did the martial arts thing too. I got my black belt in Tae Kwon Do a few years ago along with an elbow injury that has lasted years that I still deal with. I ended up with a PRP injection which is my Doc's last resort before surgery. Still bugs me but I can tell it is getting better slowly. Anyway, man, my problem was stopping exercise because of my injuries. It's hard to lift anything with a bum elbow. So don't do that, walk, sit ups, leg lifts, lunges, body squats, and EAT RIGHT. Low carb can me tough and monotonous, not to mention tough on the ol' pooper. I was so stopped up I had to come off of it to get some fiber in my diet. Sorry, TMI. Hang tough. find alternative ways to get your activity in and don't put off getting that shoulder fixed if you don't have to.
