madanjen's Journal, 15 May 2015

Dropped another .4 pounds and am down 1.8 from Tuesday's weight. So, I am on track to reach my goal to drop at least 3 lbs. this and continuing weeks.

Did over an hour on the recumbent bike as I watched TV in my bedroom. I normally am not a big TV person other than news, sports and music related shows like the Voice, but got hooked on a show called THE BLACK LIST so I killed two birds with one stone. Great show by the way if you haven't seen in. The main character is quite intriguing. I am reminded in a way of the Godfather. Not that the shows are alike, but character James Spader plays reminds me of the Corleone family in that they are so close and loving towards each other but have no problem killing someone for their perceived cause. Maybe the aspiring writer in me (I have written a few short stories) brings out the curiosity of unique characters as in Blacklist and the Godfather.

Is this really a health Journal?!?!! Lol. I thought I was on Facebook for a second! Sorry about the added info, my fingers just got possessed and my thoughts came out on paper so to speak.

HAVE A GREAT AND SUCESSFUL FRIDAY!

I think its good to talk about what going on in our lives in our journals. It helps us to get to know the people in the community. I like this better then facebook because I haven't found the negativism here from people like I do there. As long as religion and politics stay out of it I am happy to get to know you more!!!!! congrats on the weight loss.

No Religion or politics! WT.....! Lol. I have over 3,000 friends on FB so they encompass all creeds, political parties and opinions so I totally agree...these topics can get pretty crazy as far as debates and worse...name calling! Good for you snezica. Isn't that a good way of burning calories and getting fit. Last night's show was very revealing. Thanks Ann. Let's all keep it going.

Malindapaugh-miller, the bad thing about a static thing like text messages and posts like this is at times things get misconstrued. I respect people of faith and wasn't offended at all. I was just pointing out that the more people you are in contact with, the more diverse the personalities and the resulting debates and comments. Seriously, not offended and frankly, I don't bet offended very easily since I do believe in America and freedom the freedoms our great country affords us to speak our minds, hopefully, without persecution. I appreciate your comment and that of others on FS. Treadmill and tv sounds cool. And thanks Draglist. On with the journey.

MY opinion, your journals are yours whatever topic you want to put in them. mine are mostly off topic. If someone wants to read them and comment that is good, if not it's ok also. My journey has ended encompassing everything in my life. Part of it is feeling good about myself and having a better attitude and ability to now do things that I struggled with a couple years ago. I couldn't work on my yard or my house all day with out constant breaks and lots of pain meds, sure I take breaks now but not every few minutes. Having my house and yard the way I want it to be is part of feeling good about myself.

I am also a fan of the Black List.....and I understand what you mean....like the Godfather, you find yourself rooting for the bad guys.

Might have to check out that show, if it's on net flicks or hulu

I believe it is on Netflix, and it is on a major TV network so you can go to that network's website to view episodes as well. AND onto the other news, congrats on the loss!
