It's finally Friday!!! I'm so ready for the weekend, but it's going to be a stormy one, so my garden is probably going to end up waiting another week. I'll have some late veggies this year.

Last night was the last choir concert of the year and the kids did a great job. My son's baseball game was cancelled due to muddy fields, so you'd think I would have gone to bed early, but no. For some reason this week I haven't been able to get to sleep. At least I'm not super tired right now. I have been tired all week though and I think that I really need more protein in my diet. I'm going to make sure to get some chicken breasts cooked this weekend so I can grab them for salads, wraps, or whatever next week. Hopefully bumping up the protein will make a difference. Tonight we're having burgers and I'm trying my homemade ketchup, and I don't have high hopes for that. It smelled really sweet when I made it, but maybe just having it will help the burger not be so dry and bland.

Tomorrow we're going to a graduation reception, so that will be tough because I know there will be all sorts of good food. My plan is to make sure I have a good lunch and I'll take something sweet that I can eat either there or on my way home if I'm really feeling deprived. So far though I haven't had any crazy cravings, have I wanted to eat chocolate, yes, but I haven't been craving it and I haven't caved yet. We'll see how week 2 goes though, things could change, but I'm hoping for the best.

I hope everyone has a great Friday and a great weekend!

Glad you are doing better - it seems you have not reported any pain recently.

HCB- I have had a few intestinal bouts this week, I won't go into detail, but I'm sure a change in eating habits has something to do with that. I'm on day 5 and I do feel pretty good, just tired. But like I said hopefully getting a better balance of protein, carbs, and fat will help and I'll feel even better. :)

As discussing as this might sound, peanut butter instead of ketchup on a burger tastes pretty good.

Oh my, "disgusting" not "discussing".
