FINALLY, seeing some results!! It took a long time, and still have a long road ahead! Just three weeks after walking away from the horrendous schedule I lost six pounds- guess that shows just what the stress did to me!

With a new family now, who treats me better and has much more reasonable work week. Beginning to feel myself again. Although thinking about getting back into school and finding time to work out is a new challenge. Also, we have had a downstairs neighbor again since the fall. Zumba is not very "lower-floor" friendly, so may actually have to bite the bullet and join a gym. Very much LOATHING that idea! The idea of taking eight bus trips in a day nauseates me. However, good friends of ours said we could borrow their Total Gym thingy-mabob. But we'd have to re-arrange our apartment to fit it in here somehow. They said I could probably work on that while watching tv- that's what they did.

Another thought: Hoping to get a car in the next few months. Playing with the idea that as long as I keep losing weight, perhaps I could become a Zumba Kids instructor!

Thank you :-)! It took three months to lose 11 pounds. But I consider it not too bad seeing as I was unemployed for six weeks of that. It's going to be interesting to things play out in the coming months!

Wow amazing loss!!! You seem to be doing so well. You may learn to love the gym. I used to hate going to the gym because I rather be outside. But we have crappy winters here. But I noticed I love weight training because I would see gains quickly. I went from doing only 25lbs on the leg abductor machine to being about to do 75-80lbs! You will find that motivates you. The biggest step is finally crossing that bridge to do it. Keep it up!!!

Thanks! As I said, if I have to join a gym I will. But I don't drive and taking more bus rides on an already horrible transportation system really irritates my soul lol. Plus, we are trying to keep our costs down, so adding another monthly expense for something I could do at home does not sit well either. But congrats to you for those LAM amounts! Is that for one leg or both? I forget which machine that is

Its for both legs. Its where you sit and you push your legs out to both sides moving the weights on the machine up. Don't know if that's a great description..but hey! I agree with the monthly expense. If you want there is so many body exercise guides out there. You don't have to pay a membership to do a pushup and get stronger with body weight exercises. I currently can only get to a typical gym on my weekends. some days I have to workout at home. I actually do a lot of jump roping for cardio and the basic body weight exercises, aka pushups, sit ups./crunches, planks, pull ups at home. Another great body weight program to start is blogilates.. Look it up. This girl puts pilates and body weight exercise together in videos you can easily do at home on the carpet or yoga mat. Blogilates is what got me started on my fitness journey before I even started at the gym. I find her videos a hell of a lot more fun than the gym anyway. Btw her videos are free!!! Go to her website or youtube

Very nice loss, if you want to do some light weight training and don't have weight use your milk jugs a gallon of milk or water weighs about 7 lbs, or use your own body as the resistance there is to cost to that. Just keep up the hard work and it will melt off.
