Day three of vacation (May 2) and over 4000 calories again (way over). That’s what you get when you eat at Perkins Pancake House in the morning and BBQ Ribs at night (with dessert and drinks). Probably overestimating a tiny bit but better safe than sorry. Weighed in at my brother in-law’s house and got a 201.2… probably pretty accurate.

When I see it in black and white, I realize how often I use to have meals that were waaaaaaay over my RDI. Especially my focus on sweet treats. It's good to keep a focus on these things - I like your style!

So True!! I used to eat out a lot. See where that got me. Now, even a day of overeating has consequences.

You are so awesome DL, & you've come so far. You've had a bit of a splurge, no big deal. How could ANYONE resist those awesome, tasty treats? You know by now that you just have to get right back to eating right, & keep on keepin on. Again, no big deal ~ You're so near the big Finish Line, you know you've got this nailed! Why not tell yourself that you can have whatever you want on the menu, so long as you only eat half of it?

That's how I often do it too, DL, & I think that's much better than beating ourselves up & feeling permanently defeated over gaining a couple of pounds. Let's face it, we WILL splurge sometimes. We WILL "fall off the wagon" for a bit sometimes. The important thing is to NEVER EVER GIVE UP! Just enjoy the victories & deal with the setbacks, & keep moving on. It's the same with any setback in life. If we can learn to view our eating habits like that, reaching our goal weight & making the good habits we're forming a permanent lifestyle change the weight loss is an inevitable part of that. That is very encouraging to me, & I hope it helps others too.
