JDbowler's Journal, 01 May 2015

Hello everyone... It has been way too long since I last said hello. My life seems to have been torn apart this past month. I will not lie. It has been hard. Really hard to fight for things. Fighting in the case of my oldest daughter means letting go. Letting her go so that way she can get better. It is very difficult, but because I love her so much, I want her to get better. And hopefully letting her go will give her the space to allow her to get better.
My youngest daughter has to have surgery on her arm next Tuesday. Poor thing. Her growth plate in her shoulder started to close from the middle a few years ago, so we had surgery to open it back up to hopefully have her arm grow again. It did not work. So she is going in for an artificial bone lengthening procedure, that I hope isn't going to be as painful as it looks. She is a trooper. She doesn't let too many things get her down, hopefully she can fight through this one too.
In two weeks, my wife will be having bunion surgery on her foot and will be off of work for a little while. It just seems that things don't really go well for us as a family, but we fight through everything. Hopefully things will work out all the best for my family.
As, for me.... I keep working, two jobs. I'm constantly tired all the time, but it is worth it to have things for my family. I saw a sleep specialist this past week. Hopefully he will help me be able to convince my insurance to cover my CPAP machine so that I can start getting a healthy nights sleep. That is my biggest concern right now.
I have missed you all. Missed your inspirational, comforting, and wonderful words of encouragement. Missed seeing how you have all been progressing as well. Hopefully everyone is doing well. I will be keeping in the loop better now. Today starts a renewal of my journey. It gets back on track today. No more excuses.

Awww JD, I'm sorry to hear things have been so rough. My husband and I raised 6 sons so I know how stressful family life can be! I find listening to inspirational music helps me to get a handle on my stress (that and some breathing exercises I just found on Pinterest). If you don't have a stress reliever you can implement as needed I encourage you to find one...it has literally saved my life more than once! I'll keep you in my prayers.

*hugs* I agree with Hipaagrammy my son's therapist taught me how to teach him to do breathing exercises for anxiety/stress etc. He has Asperger's and these things have helped him alot and well me and the whole family. I use them more often than I realize at times, they really work.
