kimberly rae's Journal, 25 April 2015

Beginning day 5 and I've finally broke the 175 barrier! 174.6 and I'm just getting started! I decided to do this no carb/sugar thing but then got a bit crazy with the no dairy no meat etc., but i'm so glad I did. I feel really good and it feels like something my body wanted very badly. I will do a party today and eat a bit of naughty stuff which I know because I'm making the birthday cake and I want to try it. But then I'm back in full on this 10-day green shake cleanse, I think I may even start the 10 days over serious style. Anyone with me? Glen? I was at Barnes and Noble yesterday and saw this book is a best seller and I can see why. She doesn't want you to be hungry so you can eat any veg, or boiled eggs that you want and nuts in moderations (a few handfuls a day). I have not been hungry and have made some all veg dishes but may go all 3 shakes a day on this after today. Then after the 10 days you begin to add meat and healthy oils. It's very doable for me. Anyway, thought I'd share because I needed something to bring me in line.
174.6 lb Lost so far: 2.4 lb.    Still to go: 19.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Thanks everyone! And Glen, you can eat as many vegies as you want, and even fruit and any nuts you want and a couple of boiled eggs so there's your chewing for ya. Okay try this simple shake... a banana, 1 c. milk (or ideally cashew milk or almond milk or just water) a T. nut butter like peanut butter, cinnamon, and a handful of spinach, fresh, and a c. of ice. Blend the spinach with the milk first until its very smooth say 30 sec. then add the rest and whir another 30 seconds or so. If you like yogurt, throw some in there too. Just try it! And protein powder if you're using it.

Congrats, Kim! It's been ages since I've been on here. I still get the emails, though. Kristin seems to be updating it regularly. I must admit that I have slackened in my reporting. Eric and I are doing OK. We've done better, but we still mostly don't eat much sugar. I will post a full update on my journal.
