Good Afternoon, FS Warriors! Well, I had ham and beans and rice for lunch yesterday, and then chile with beans for supper, after the nursing home gig. DW must have thought I was suffering from a bean deficiency or something. We had fun at the nursing home, but it was kind of disappointing. They have a new Activities Director, and he wasn't there last night, and he failed to notify any of the staff that we were coming. So, the only audience we had were the ones that were slower eaters, and hadn't finished their supper, so hadn't been wheeled back to their rooms. I think our group outnumbered the residents that were present. We were happy to entertain them, but performers feed off the crowd also. We go there to have fun as well. We know from previous visits that the residents love for us to come, and there would have been a lot more present if the word had been passed. So, we are going to have a word with the Activities Director.

Tonight we have the Over 50 Seniors potluck. Everything is about eating. Haha; I was told I had been volunteered to be on one of the bible answer challenge teams tonight. We never even knew they had such a thing. This ought to be interesting. Another night without mowing. My yard is going to need baling. And to top it all off, there is frost warnings for the night. Since we have a District Convention all day Saturday, I don't need anyone doing a Rain Dance, because tomorrow is going to be the only time I'm going to be able to mow for a while.

The dogs are doing well. It has been kind of cold being out there with them for 30 - 45 minutes in the morning. That little spitfire has so much energy; she travels at warp speed from one end of the yard to the other. I hate to pen her up for the day, but I don't think it's going to be long before I can put her in with the big boy. She was 28 pounds last week when DW took her to the Vet for her shots. My wiener/cocker spaniel mix has been 28 pounds for the last 10 years. She is only about 3.5 months old. She's a cutie though. I have to intentionally devote more attention to the big dog so he doesn't resent her getting too much affection. So far so good.

It's great to have power out in the gym and I'm looking forward to another day when I can actually work out there. There's never a lack of things to do. We have not heard hide nor hair from the deadbeat tennant who was going to work some of his debt off. He has shown his true colors. Looks like I'm going to have to reach out and touch someone. The guy that I paid to help me a couple weeks ago was a Godsend, and I will continue to hire him to help me. Now that I have had good help and it has been over 3 weeks since I offered the deadbeat the opportunity to work off his debt, I have taken that deal off the table. He can get a job somewhere else (but I suspect that isn't going to happen; hard to get a job when you're just whining and not looking). Well, enough of that; I'll just get agitated thinking about that.

Since I've got all this extra time on my hands, I've decided to create my own web server. I registered the domain, "www.OldBrickSchool.com" and I will be hosting a website in the near future. It won't do you any good to go there yet; I haven't put anything on it. But since it will be my site running from my own server, I imagine I will put up there whatever strikes my fancy. I'll let you all know when it goes live.

Well, I've run out of ramblings. Hope everything has a great day and an even better Friday. Toodles!

I can feel the disappointment with that nursing home gig in your written words. I sooo understand. Thank goodness you did have some people that did get to hear your group. I am sure they enjoyed it so at least it wasn't a total waste. Let us know how it went with the activies director. Bet it is fun watching the dogs together. Look forward to your site after you get it up and running. Take care and have fun!!
