It is a long time ...... But you did it, and who knows where this will take you? Be careful not to purchase your outfit for the wedding too soon, you are going to be way too small to wear it.

Congratulations! It doesn't matter how long it takes you made 2 miles. Pretty soon you'll be ready for a 5K.

CATHERDER- Id love to do a 5k. I sure hope it happens. Running on a treadmill is easier than pavement. So hopefully i can get there. Thank you!

That's fantastic! Running long or even short distances are challenging for me.

Nice job! There's a couch to 5k app that is great for android or smartphone. It sounds silly but the tempo of the music you listen to helps tons too.

MEOHMY125- Thanks! Its challenging for me as well. I hate cardio to be honest. Something about running always makes me want more. Its a challenge to see how far i can run. Its a love hate thing for sure! It sucks but i like it..haha. Start small and work your way up :)

NICHOLAIX- Ill look that up. I wonder if it works the same on a treadmill. I have two little boys so i don't always get the chance to run outside. Thanks for the recommendation.

Running is addictive. I need to get a heart rate monitor because I was always getting certain symptoms that had me lethargic for weeks at a time and found out that I was overworking my heart.... I didn't know that I had to keep it at a certain rate for my weight and body etc.... I have a rebounder now and I love it but when the weather gets better I want to go out and jog along the beach and harbor where I live in the mornings. :)

i have a mate who uses a c25k app on treadmill, works for her. the music is so important i can't run without it, i run about a 13min miles (worlds best plodder me!) and i found some really good tunes at that pace. BeeGees disco which is just weird (and hard to own up to!) but they work, AC/DC, Nirvana and Chemical Brothers also really good. but all time fav is Fleetwood Mac - Go your own way, it a great tune for when you are knackered at the end. good luck xx

lol drullae I listen to motiontraxx podcasts on iPod mostly, no beegees or ac/dc there. I found if I upped the tempo of the music I could get more speed and distance generally. Really though if you are running for pleasure whatever you like is awesome.
