Well. Hmm...

Ok, I'm trying not to get too excited about this. I've been here before then I go back home. I am a yo-yo.

Thanks everyone for convincing me not to give up. I'm not happy with my size, and I should be the boss of my body, not my body. Yeah! Take that body! How you like me now?

Logging my foods has been key. Not just because it helps me see what I'm eating, but also because I'm terrified of wholefoodnut, classic rocker, and nicholaix. I've actually been logging the food before I eat it sometimes to see how much I can eat. Apparently I can eat all the hot sauce and spinach I want. Has anyone tried the miracle berry? I really want to get some. It sounds like a fun food. Wow, welcome to my adhd moment. I was wondering what spinach would taste like after eating a miracle berry. That's where that came from.

Like Draglist said "you had me at log my food". I've never seen Jerry Macguire, mostly because Tom Cruise makes me want to flag down a passing space ship and leave the planet, so I had to look up the reference, but yeah, that's pretty much true. I'm eating well, just maybe too many calories. I was surprised at the calories some foods I eat have. I'm trying to work extra hard this week to plan my food. I think that's going to be a key as well. The hard part is planning food to bring with me on the road. Wish me luck.

Oh, I also figured out if I dance while I'm filling my machines I can get in a tiny bit of exercise. I'm not all out dancing, because obviously I have to get my work done. I more look like I'm doing the pee pee dance I guess. Look for me on the people of Walmart website in the future.

I also log all of my food before I eat it. Every morning I enter breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. And I try like hell to stick with it. It makes it easier to see that I stay on track. I also menu plan dinners for the entire week every Thursday. And I wish Tom Cruise would go away.

Well.... you did begin logging. Proud of you. I looked earlier this week and saw nothing and thought pfftt. But being a person to make promises and not stick with them I didn't respond. What are miracle berries. Yeah, I can look it up but rather hear it from you. Think the description would be more fun. You're only a frog hair from the 170's....

In the past if I stop logging I stop losing. Whatever the reasons that just how it is. From what I see on here that seems to be true of everyone who has been successful and even the peeps that are maintaining. So if that relatively small thing is the secret, us anal retentive, I mean detail oriented, people can do that somewhat easily. As for Tom Cruise...just ick...

Yes, logging is key. The good, bad, and downright ugly food that a person sucks in does come back to haunt them, whether its for the good or bad :) Good food (read healthy, whole foods) have good effects, large amounts of food (even healthy foods) can have adverse effects. We all know what bad chocies can do! Pick your poison but be aware you will have to pay the piper eventually so healthy food is best. I agree..Tom Cruise is an "ick".

I log breakfast after - but lunch and snacks before. I am never really sure about dinner, but I base it on what I have left. I hate going over my numbers, so I will only pick a food that fits, and leaves me room for an after dinner treat! I log on MFP though, not here. I come here for challenges and buddies.

Thanks everyone! I'm just hoping this isn't a fluke. I don't trust that body of mine. It lies to me. "oh look we're losing weight, won't you look cute? Oh I'm sorry I found that weight you lost. Try not to be so careless or your pants will fall off." I do have to keep pulling my pants up, I hate belts. I think it's because I have more keys on my key ring, not because my pants are too big. I checked I've seen 2 Tom Cruise movies. Top Gun and Rain Man, so obviously I have not kept up with his career, and I'm ok with that.

CR I probably wouldn't have started logging, but I felt if I didn't, you all would hunt me down. You like frogs don't you? Frog hair, frog ass... Ok, a miracle berry is a fruit from Africa that you roll around in your mouth to have the juice cover your tongue. Food you eat after that tends to taste sweet. I've never tried it but I've heard beer tastes like chocolate malt, hot sauce tastes like molasses, lemons like candy, etc. This lasts for an hour or so. Just think we could get alcoholics to come to our sugar rehab clinic and just feed them miracle berries until they lose the taste for beer, and then check them into the sugar rehab until they lose their taste for sugar. People have parties with this berry where they try different foods. They call it "taste tripping". Don't like that connotation, it gives me flashbacks. HA!

Ummm...I always log my food ahead of time, sometimes a week at a time. I do make changes if I decide on a different veg for dinner or start to run out of my fruits for lunch (only 2 oranges left and shopping not until Friday). Other than that, I stick to it. Of course I eat the same things all the time, just different sauces, oatmeal when home donut when with DH, etc. Logging! Be anal about it!

Thanks brought leftover soup today. I'm just gonna eat it cold. Msbuggirl I wish I was that organized to log that far ahead. I'm just proud of myself for going to the grocery store with a plan. You are my yoga.

Sometimes, in really boring or frustrating meetings, I tense my muscles or take turns surreptitiously lifting and holding a leg, just to get a bit of exercise. every little bit must help. Things like your little dance keep you in the right frame of mind, besides.

Thanks! I never thought about tensing my muscles. I could do that while I'm driving. I just realized I got auto corrected That last post was supposed to be Yoda not yoga.

Yoda not Yoga!!!! LOL Thanks! You are OK - just do the best you can and think big picture changes. Water instead of soda, fruit not cand...simple changes over time add up!

I thought about letting it go and hoped people thought I meant yogi, but I was a liberal arts major and I had to correct it. I don't drink soda, but I could probably up the amount of water I drink. It's just hard knowing that will mean I have to try and time when I can be close to a bathroom.

Auto correct grrrr. IC great job on your logging!!!! haven't been on here much this past week as it's been busy so missed this earlier. You might try adding more veggies and fruit, few calories but will add a lot of nutrients. Take some with you in a cooler to munch on. I take apples, carrots, sliced peppers, or whatever I happen to have along quite often.
