Diea's Journal, 18 April 2015

Up this time. Not surprised. My stress levels are up the roof on account of being a grad student and working full time too. I'm in the last stretch for this semester and there are many things that are due, have been due and are about to be due.

These demands have also resulted in me not eating at good times. I prefer to have dinner at 5pm, sleep at 9pm, and wake up at 5am to work out. Well, it's just difficult to do that when I study so many hours a week and sleep less that usual. I still get hungry around 5pm, but I'm not able to eat sometimes until like 8pm or 9pm, and by that time I'm so hangry that I'll eat anything! No bueno.

I know this is temporary so I'm not beating myself up about it. I still want to be mindful about it. I try to still get my nutrients in, even if dinner is unhealthy. I like having fruits and veggies in the house, and I always have breakfast. I'm not working out at all, but I push myself to use stairs at work and park not so close from places I drive to sometimes so I get to walk.

I might go up a little more before the semester is over in a few weeks. I might not. I'm open to all possibilities, and I don't want to punish myself. I have enough stress in my life already. Patience. Self-love. Self-compassion. Determination. Compartmentalization. But most of all, belief that the weight loss wagon is still in arms reach even if I need to get off for a while for my own sanity.

Make the best decisions each day with what you've got. All you can do is the best you can do. Self-love. And sleep. Getting sleeps helps with everything else...
