So why is it that I watch every single thing that goes in my mouth AND exercising for the first time in years, but no weight loss? I am trying so hard to be mindful of what I eat, just not following a strict diet. I would normally eat and drink myself stuffed, but now I'm trying to eat more whole foods, drinking tons of water and haven't touched a diet soda this whole month, no ice cream stops or huge candy binges. Why is that not enough????? GRRR!! I am not asking for super fast weight loss, I am just looking for a little movement on the scale telling me what I'm doing is paying off. I am so frustrated!
Just venting, I know I am walking down the right path. I know this is the way I am supposed to do it, but just a small victory would be helpful!!!

If the scale isn't telling the correct story, try the measuring tape! The tape measure may actually be a better tool as weight can be subjective (the whole muscle weighs more than fat thing) and the results you are looking for may be there instead. I also keep in mind, "how am I feeling?", "what is my energy level?", and I also pay attention how food makes me feel (i.e. bloated, refreshed, energized, etc.). Keep at it -you are doing the right thing!
