Another little drop to 212. Yesterday was such a waste in the I got a little exercise in and had to work until late in he evening and just grabbed whatever I could find fast in the evening. But I did lose .2 pounds.

And tonight I have a date with a new girl. Maybe after walking on the beach I could coax her to help me cook a healthy meal? Question for you girls, or guys for that matter. Have you ever gone on a date and the guy or girl cooked for you and with you helping? Is it something that you enjoyed.

Well if not, there is always the cabernet! Lol

When Terri and I were first dating we would have one night a week where we took turns cooking and picking the meal. We both loved to cook so it turned into a joint effort pretty quickly lol. It's much more intimate than eating out in a restaurant plus we could accommodate our eating issues much easier (dairy/meat free and type 1 diabetic).

I agree that it could be more intimate and it could actually be quite fun. Maybe I will give it a shot.

YUP! 1st DH was a chef and I've always liked cooking so we did that often, before kids we also ate out a lot when we had a rare night off together. We were in the Boston area so lots and lots of choices.

It is lots of fun. Even better if you shop together. Also, it's better than sitting "pretty", waiting for him or her to cook for you.

Congrat's on your drop! LOL. I want to drop, too! It's hard to find healthy food when you are grabbing something quick. I eat salad almost every day for lunch. I can't look at it after I get off of work or on the weekends. I think Subway could be healthy? LOL. It's fun to cook together--or to let them surprise you and cook for you--letting them know they have to be in a calorie/healthy meal limit--LOL. My hubby cooks a special "me" dinner almost every single night. He also cooks a different meal for him and my daughter. It is fun doing things for each other, but you have to let them know. So many people expect their date/spouse to read their mind or "hint." Then they are really disappointed when their expectation wasn't met. If you want your date to help you cook, make her feel comfortable enough to join in--make the suggestion. If it doesn't happen, then it's your choice after the date if you want to get involved in someone who isn't interested in doing that together. My hubby was always into cooking, but he's not into exercise. That bums me. LOL.

FYI Be carful of Subway. It's a little better than some but it's all processed meats with lots of sodium and chemicals added to the meats. I thought about it yesterday, hunting for a quick meal, decided I could not handle the on chemicals due to allergies to them. At least not on top of my already over loaded system from tree pollen.

Nice drop. After you get to know a person better and find that they like cooking would be a better time to mention cooking together to see her reaction. So I wonder how your date went. Did you bring up the cooking topic?
