Happy Friday!

I guess the plateau has really ended. Yippee! I have been going up a pound, down a pound for about 2 months. Now in the last two weeks I've lost about 6 pounds. I made a couple of tweaks like upping the resistance on my elliptical one notch for the last 10 minutes of my workout and adding in more veggies, but it doesn't seem like enough of a change to warrant such success. Whatever it is I'm happy with the progress!

Today GoodMan and I are heading to Frankenmuth to meet my family for lunch. Goodman asked what I'll be able to eat there (Frankenmuth is known for their fried chicken and German foods). I reminded him this is a lifestyle change, not a diet. I'll eat the fried chicken, but the difference is I won't eat as if I'll never eat again. We only go there once every couple of years, but I know I can go back anytime I want so why stuff myself? There is always another meal, if not at Frankenmuth then somewhere else. My lifestyle change means I can eat what I want - but mindfully and with restraint.

Have a great weekend!

55 lbs so far! THAT'S SO FANTASTIC! Glad you broke through the plateau! I think the body HOLDS on to weight in the winter so you're headed downhill now as we finally move into some warmer weather! Absolutely eat that fried chicken. I give myself 1 free day a week. It's easier to say no to things if I can say to myself, "3 more days and you can have that". Make sure to give yourself a day or at least a meal to not worry about it! :) Namaste! J
