I'm having alot of trouble getting onto the site lately so I don't record my food/exercise diary every day. I#ve just filled in yesterday's and a thought occurred- I look after my 4 year old grandaughter on Thursdays for 6 hours where does this come in exercises? What does anyone else put in their diary to cover this?

chronic cardio!!! if she is anything like my grandson you'll be getting the best workout there is...and the most rewarding x i never thought to put it in my diary...ooh bonus

I add all sorts of weird stuff to cover what I'm doing!! but i read that exercise only accounts for about 15% of what calories you burn, regardless, most energy is used just staying alive :-)

according to this sites' excercise stats square dancing uses more calories than horse riding ! I can assure you it doesn't - I've done both and horse riding including cantoring and light jumping kills you ! Like Tatmummy says staying alive is more productive means of "excercise" and trying to input tons of activities you're better off looking at changing your food intake

I put my own in ( I look them up first on a few sites to see if Kcals are right etc) I horse ride, move bales of haylage, carry water etc it's got to count for something right? Good luck with your weight loss...

Thankyou for all the comments, it's given me something to think about- now this week I shan't be losing anything, I've already decided that. Yesterday i met up with a friend I haven't seen for a long time and we had a pub lunch- the same thing today but I am meeting son no 2's partner's father and his partner for guess what- a pub lunch- and then on Monday off to see a friend in hospital with guess what after!!!! I shall watch what I eat tomorrow- Sunday and then continue on Tuesday. Have a great weekend,
