BrandyRelaxing's Journal, 04 July 2011

So this week, to ensure I keep the protein up but that things keep "moving", I'm going to add the Benefibre to my greek yogurt... hopefully that helps.

Other than that, I think I'm going back to 5 days a week of exercise - if 6 days happens, that's okay, but I would rather meet my goal of 5 days, than not meet a goal of 6 days because I'm sore! lol

My DH is wanting to keep changing up the walks we do... I think he now wants to walk 7K - it's just around the block, well a big block. I've done 5.27K before, but 7K... well, it'll be an adventure! :)

Small edit:
I went through my clothes in my drawers and got rid of some clothes that are too big to wear now... and found some size 24 pants in my drawer I didn't know were there and they FIT!

Yah, I'm hoping the 7K goes well... I'm thinking it will be a weekend kind of thing though!

Good luck on the 7K. That's a big step. Literally. I've become a serious advocate for water exercise, since that's a large part of what I do. I find that it's fun, and it really works to get the pounds off. Especially when you're carrying a lot of them and walking long distances on the ground would not be great on the joints. Have you tried Konsyl? I find that really helps as a fibre filler (plus the water I take it with is part of the fluid intake I have to have).

I'm not much of a "water exercise" person when I'm on my own... if I can drag someone with me, I'm okay, but on my own I'm self concious. Weird, but true. I just can't get any one of my gf's or my DH to come with me... oh well... maybe after my one friend gets her knee operated on later this summer, she'll be up for water exercise! Does Konsyl have a taste? I even found benefibre had a taste (when my sister couldn't taste anything), although, I have a hypersensitive taste, and smell, so that's probably not helping. The only way I don't taste it, is in Yogurt... even in Milk I can taste it - it's hard to describe, just kinda carb-y.

Brandy, I used to be self concious about going to water class alone and then something clicked... I am in the water - no one can see my jiggly but, or gross thighs and it kind of put me at ease. That and I found a water class full of crazy older ladies that made the class so much more fun! I get not wanting to go by yourself though. One of the classes I used to teach had several husband and wife combos in it - so if DH protests that it is a "womans thing" tell him that the guys in my class said they hadn't had such a great work out in a long time.

Konsyl doesn't have much of a taste. Some people take it in orange juice.
