Deb_N's Journal, 15 April 2015

Hi, everyone! Hope you are well. I have to admit I am behind on your journals, because there are so many members now, but I see your weigh ins and I am cheering you on. ♥ Once in a while I have been having egg white omelets with veggies for breakfast. So here is my tip, if you have not had omelets before: Increase the color, flavor and fiber of your morning omelet with vegetables! Chop, sauté, and add the vegetables to the egg as it cooks. Try combining different veggies, such as mushrooms, spinach, onions, or bell peppers. If you like it spicy, sprinkle on some black pepper or a few drops of Sriracha sauce. An omelet is also good for lunch or dinner. Any time really. Thanks for stopping by my journal. Keep eating healthy and keep your body moving to burn those calories! Good luck to the new members!

I love omelets. I try to have one every day for breakfast and lunch. I just tried celery leaves added to the tomatoes/onions/garlic that I usually stuff with it. It was delicious and gave it a fresher taste. Yes, and congrats on your new weight!

Hi Dear Deb, TY for this great advice! The biggest reason I don't like using egg whites only is the sickly color of omelets & some other dishes made that way. Your suggestions made me think that I might try mixing in some curry sauce I have on hand for my omelet tomorrow. Kudos to you for your success in your weight maintinance. I'm sure that can be difficult at times too, but that's a problem I look forward to having some day, LOL! Take care, & thank you for your constant encouragement for those still making that long journey.
