I gained 5 pounds Easter day. I ate a lot & sat around most of the day, but don't how I gained that much. It doesn't take much for me to gain weight. I started the Keto Diet Monday & stuck with it to a T. Lost 6 pounds in the last 3 days. Did a lot of exercise ( for me ). Now I'm a pound less than the day before Easter. I'm going to stay on Keto Diet until Saturday. Hope I don't start gaining it back then.

Sounds like water weight. You lose a lot on low-carb at first from losing the excess water, probably when you get carb loaded again you start retaining water and that's where the quick weight gain came from.

I drink water all day between a 1/2 & 3/4 gal daily. Also 2 cups of coffee. I really don't know if I ever get carb loaded, very seldom do I ever eat more than 20 carbs a day. ( I did Easter ) I never eat out at fast food or any other type of restaurant. If I can't make it, I don't eat it. Never eat any wheat, oats, or other type of grains. No processed foods. Low carb is a lifestyle for me, so maybe my body is used to it. I first started in 1972 when I read Dr. Atkins 1st book. I lost 100 lbs. in less than 90 days. I was young, could work all day, run & walk 10 miles back & forth to work, lift weights every other day. Go out dancing every Saturday night. As long as I stayed on Low Carb I did great. But for many years it was off & on. When off, I gained weight really fast. A couple years ago I decided on it for a lifestyle. Can't do all the things I used to, but can do more than some my age. Am thankful for all. Good luck, no matter what diet one chooses.

I was up 6 lbs over Easter weekend, it doesn't take much to do it, just extra carbs and salt. Good news is it comes off fairly quickly. Congrats on the loss. :)

Any diet that works for someone is a good one I suppose. I've tried at least 40, including weight watchers. Never worked for me, even when I was younger. The Cabbage Soup diet worked, but I'd rather have stayed fat. Low Carb & Paleo are the only ones that I can lose weight on. Especially now that I've reached my senior abilities. LOl Best of luck to you.

I ate my way through Easter also. They need to add a "Everything" in the food list section :)
