You can't out exercise an unhealthy diet. If you work on getting your eating in check, you will lose weight. Exercise is great for toning up, getting a calorie deficit, etc. but exercise can't undo consistent bad food choices. Cutting out or cutting down on dense carbs such as breads, packaged foods, fast foods, etc will help. If you start posted all your food intake here everyday, you can track what works for you. Plus with the support and tips you get on this site, you will have a jumpstart.

It is true about exercise, I started with just diet alone then I looked up "fitness quotes" and how difference people look that lost weight with diet vs diet and exercise. That really got me to decide to exercise. Now I love it and really miss a workout. I have 6 kids and crazy busy so I can only do five minutes here and ten minutes there, but it's better than nothing. I have lost 20 pounds so far this year and I promise you, you will never ever regret doing a workout but you will regret not doing anything. You can do it and it is 100% worth the effort.

I agree diet and exercise. I find even now on maintenance I need to track my foods, surprising sometimes what the day's intake can add up to. Still working to get in shape but that is a lifetime commitment.

what I have learnt…need low calorie intact and take your INTENSITY level of exercise and TIMES it by 4. That is the zone where weight comes off.

I don't want to probe, but have you had your thyroid checked? They haven't been able to get mine in check for almost 13 years. The Doctor I go to now, finally has it under control. Also, keep in mind, the amount you take will change if you increase or lose weight. Other than that, I definitely think you're healthy eating will make an impact. You may be losing inches, not pounds at the moment. I would definitely add in exercise. That's about the only way I can lose.

You had only one day tracked on your diet calendar. It takes awhile to start seeing results. Usually at least a week or two weeks. I wasn't implying you weren't doing anything right. I don't know because you don't have enough days listed. I just tried to give a few pointers which you might have already heard but does bear retelling. Keeping carbs under 100 grams when you first begin a plan is a good idea for most people who are used to a lot of carbs.
