Happy Saturday One and All

Been busy past couple of days, weather has been lousy with rain and temps in low 60's - chills you to the bone---hate it! I want summer and I want it now. Just told DH I hope it warms up enough to go to the beach next weekend for 4th of July as the pool STILL not on track yet for swimming. Went to pool store yesterday to obtain the part needed to stop the filter leakage.

Made a wonderful choppino (seafood stew) last night for supper with some garlic whole grain bread. It hit the spot. I usually have my soup pot put away by now for the summer, but yesterday was the perfect weather for it. Enough left for lunch today will toss in some leftover brown rice since one day of garlic bread is enough for me.

Housecleaning and laundry to do today along with paying all the residual bills from when DH was in the hospital for 3 weeks, crap...hope insurance paid the majority and that there is enough $$ for all the balances due. Gee, between he and I and our combined med expenses we will definatley be able to itemize them this year!

TTFN - Need java........

Babs - I hate 8it for you that you are having such a cold summer! I remember how depressing it was when I lived in NY. What was that expression. . . "We have two seasons: Winter and August".

Out and about today so didn't get in lunch as planned, opting for an early supper of roasted chicken, dressing, & veggies instead. DH was thinking he needed some kind of "goodie" at the market today, took him 1/2 hr to look at all the fresh made pies, cookies and cakes before deciding on some cookies. I promptly made him put all in the basement freezer except what he is going to eat to night for his "snack". Don't even want them in the kitchen freezer, the farther out of sight for me the better!!

Hi, Babs! I hope this last week of June will give your weather a chance to straighten up and realize it's Summer! Speaking of DH and "goodies", how has he been doing since his doctor "spoke" to him about his diet and exercise? Both of you have a blessed Sunday!

Oh Babs, I know how you feel about the weather being cold..I was in such a state of mind when it was so dreary here.. I am not a winter person at all..And we have at least 5 months of the year that are cold. I hear ya about keeping the cookies as far away as possible..Have a great evening...Bren
