My daughter is the big smoothie fan in our household. She likes mixed berries with a splash of milk, sometimes with a banana in there. She likes to add a touch of vanilla and sometimes a little honey if it needs to be sweeter. She doesn't want to add my protein powder in there, but I think that is just stubbornness. :)

At the top of the FatSecret home page, click on the tab that says RECIPES. Type the word Smoothie in the search box and there are 4 pages of recipes. Study them because some are high carb and some are low carb. I haven't made any smoothie yet, but when I buy my smoothie maker or blender, I'm going to do this! :)

Here is one I like a lot. 1/2 cup blueberries 1/2 cup cranberries 1 tbsp. pumpkin seeds 1 tbsp. chia seeds 2 walnuts 1 tbsp. coconut butter ( almond butter or peanut butter can be substituted) 1/2 almond milk (unsweetened) 1/2 cup water This smoothie will get you up and going in the morning and keep the hunger pains away for awhile. Drink Up and smile.
