SusanCan2020's Journal, 24 March 2015

If someone told you that it will only take a year of your life to lose the weight you want to lose (60 to 80) through good healthy eating habits everyday, exercising every second day -heart rate up type of exercise, would you do it? This is what I say to myself every time I see something I shouldn't have. I resisted chocolate today! I know a lot of people believe in moderation but that only comes into play when you are at your ideal weight.

My friend saw a cardiologist the other day and the cardiologist told him he has to lose weight. The cardiologist said he used to be big as well but he lost the weight. My friend then asked the cardiologist how he lost the weight and he was honest and said "I suffered and I suffered" basically saying its not easy. I also keep that in mind when trying to resist temptation.

I don't think you have to "suffer". You need to change bad habits.

Changing bad habits is not easy; sort of like giving up smoking - addictions are like cravings somewhat.
