Herbie's Journal, 17 March 2015

I had a weird experience yesterday, wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I've been doing well and yesterday had a pretty low calorie day because it was also a very low exercise/restful kind of day. In the evening I had a very small piece of chocolate cake that my daughter made. It was dense, but the piece was really small-- a square that was less than 2 inches wide/tall. About 15 minutes later I got a severe headache and had to lie down in a dark room for a long time before it passed. I hadn't had a headache like that since the first couple of days of the diet. And, it's possible that it could have been from my 10 year old's loud and constant resistance to her math homework. But I feel like it was a reaction to the sugar.

Does anyone else have experience with this?

I only get sugar headaches when I consume a lot of it, OR if I have not eaten sugar in awhile. On the other hand, a 10 year old could also contribute to that!

I haven't really had sugar for about six weeks, so the sugar headache is my guess. (Of course the math resistance didn't help.)
