funny you say that :" I have to take better care of myself and not fall back into those comforting yet unhealthy habits." I think that is my problem, worrying about everyone else I alway come in last !

I am guilty of the same thing. It doesn't help that I am a single parent of 2 as well so I am used to making sure my girls are cared for while letting myself suffer. I am trying to be better about taking care of myself though. But we can do this!! You got this! I got this! :D

I have one turning 10 and the other will be turning 2. Such an age gap! I do not envy you lol! I bet that is definite challenge in itself!

I have a hard time remembering they all have different personalities, my daughter and oldest son struggle with weight also- my oldest just cuts out snacks and sodas he's 18, my daughter ,like me enjoys a good meal she is 15. Smart shopping is the hardest and expensive- but we are trying :)

You know, my oldest is struggling with her weight too. I am trying to make sure to buy healthy things and such but it's hard when she doesn't like veggies as much and wants to binge on all the unhealthy stuff. I try not to keep it around. The most recent thing I am trying with her is getting some Greek yogurt and these protein bars for her to snack on in hopes that it will fill her up and she won't feel the need to snack constantly. She has shown signs of emotional eating so I am looking to get her into counseling but also, she tends to eat out of boredom. I worry that she is going to have to endure the same problems that I am currently going through and she's just too young. I feel for you though. I am trying my hardest to be a better role model so hopefully it will right itself.

Mom , we can only do so much- I even tried to get my kids into sports when they were young, my middle son was great the oldest grained alot - he sees those pictures now and cringes. My daughter liked soccer but it was traveling team- I was unable to take her. As they have gotten older its harder to motivate them unless they have good friends that get out and do stuff!

Agreed! We try out best but ultimately, it is up to them to make it happen. I try not to stress over it too much. :)
