Focus. It is so incredibly important to focus. Not that I wanted to carve time out of my already busy schedule to write everything I eat into FS, but it is a game changer. And my success on this journey requires it.

I took a FranklinCovey webinar on productivity on Tuesday and faced the reality of how accountability really feeds into my personality and life management needs. That is where FS helps. And they are everywhere! NO excuses! When I joined FS years ago, there wasn't an app - now I have both the Android and iPhone versions.

When my dad was in the hospital this week, the apps really helped. I applaud the hospital cafeteria for their great salad bar and "salad by the pound" pricing, and the apps helped me supplement the salad with intelligent choices. I am always amazed about what I consider to be "hidden calories" in sauces and in cooking methods. I even ate a fast food restaurant with the kids and did great. There signature salad looked and sounded great - but the extras put it over the top for me. I chose a simpler salad instead and did just great.

Thanks FS for being there for me when the last thing I wanted to do was focus on my eating. Another pound down and still working toward my goal.
229.2 lb Lost so far: 14.8 lb.    Still to go: 64.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
